NEW STUDENTS, YOUR FIRST WEEK OF YOGA IS FREE!*

Contrary to popular belief, you do not have to be flexible to do yoga! Yoga is for everybody, and Blue Lotus offers group classes for all levels and abilities. Our yoga offerings are designed for everyone; from experienced athletes seeking to balance their training, to seniors or those recovering from illness or injury. Our expert instructors provide a nurturing, individualized approach to guide students to their greatest potential.
Private customized yoga instruction is also available for those with specific fitness and wellness goals.

*Prenatal/Yoga with Baby students get first class free and may sign up for 5 or 10 class series only - no expiration.

YOGA CLASSES

At Blue Lotus, it is our goal to serve the community. As classes fill, additional classes, including specialty classes, will be added in response to client feedback.

GENERAL INFORMATION
:

  • Please arrive a few minutes prior to class start time - we begin with a silent sitting. Enter quietly, remove your shoes and socks; place on shelf on the left as you enter. Do not bring valuables; Blue lotus is not responsible for loss of personal property.
  • Please do not walk on wood floor with shoes.
  • If this is your first visit to Blue Lotus, please complete the following forms*.
    You may print these and bring in; or forms are located in the studio on the shelf as you enter to your left.
  • Inform your instructor of all injuries or medical issues. This will allow us to give modifications of poses to meet your needs.
  • Leave all cell phones, pagers and worries outside!
  • Wear comfortable, layered clothing allowing full breathing and warmth.
  • Do not eat at least 1-2 hours prior to class.
  • Avoid perfume and scented lotions - please respect fellow students.
  • No chewing gum please.
  • Bring a yoga mat for hygiene reasons. If you do not have one, a limited number are available in the studio for a $1 rental fee per class.
  • Sign in prior to class start. Attendance/accounting will be completed by the teacher during the inversion period.
  • Please place payment, (checks or cash only) in the glass container on the back table. Place cash in an envelope with your name on the outside.
  • When menstruating, women may not want to do inverted poses (headstand, shoulder-stand). Legs up the wall is appropriate.

The less you judge and compare yourself to others, the more you will enjoy the experience. Move as deeply into sensation as you can, NEVER moving into pain! You are your best teacher - listen to your body! And remember to breathe!
